Ruth Jean Woods
Ruth Woods, 85, of Wadsworth, IL, passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at Aurora Medical Center in Kenosha. She was born in St. Louis, MO, on February 3, 1931, the daughter of the late Woodrow Broderick and Ruby Gillis. She was united in marriage to Dr. Richard Woods in St. Louis in 1957; he preceded her in death in March of 2008. Ruth was an active member of Meadowridge Baptist Church in Zion, IL, where she was involved with the Women Ministries and was a strong supporter of worldwide missions. Her generosity was a direct reflection of her love and devotion to her Lord Jesus Christ. Surviving Ruth are her four children, Ralph Woods of Youngstown, OH, Russell (Patty) Woods of Currituck, NC, Brian (Gina) Woods of Beach Park, IL, and Dr. Kathleen (Stuart) Woods/Munson of Bristol, WI; and eight grandchildren, Michael, Rachael, Krystal, Kaitlyn, Blake, Dallas, Garrett and Zack. She is further survived by one brother, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 30th, at Meadowridge Baptist Church, 4500 IL-173, Zion, IL, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt.
