Jeanette J. Leuck, 92, of Kenosha, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2016, at United Hospital Systems-Kenosha Medical Center Campus. She was born on March 13, 1924, in Kenosha, the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Urban) Kliwicky. Jeanette graduated from Kenosha High School. After high school, Jeanette studied music, worked as a model and was an opera singer. In June of 1951, she married Donald J. Leuck in Kenosha. Jeanette was a member of St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church and was very active in parish and volunteer activities. She was also librarian for the Franciscan Friars of Marytown. Surviving Jeanette is one son, Mark (Rosanne) of Kenosha; two daughters, Mary (Edward) Minson of Whitefish Bay, WI, and Theresa Leuck of Kenosha; three grandchildren, Vanessa (Ethan Popp) Leuck of New York City, NY, Matthew (Nicole Mazzella) Leuck of Chicago, IL, and Jeanette Minson of New York City, NY; and two sisters, Dolores Benjamin of Treasure Island, FL, and Ann Carol Deuster Dougherty of Brookfield, WI. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a sister, Marion Kolbasnik. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 30th, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 4816-7th Avenue, Kenosha, WI, at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends are welcome to visit with the family at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Entombment will be held privately at All Saints Mausoleum. My Godmother was a loving, religious person who always offered her prayers for the family. Her warmth created my fond memories of her and I appreciate the spiritual help she secured for us with her favorite Divine Mercy prayers.
