Kathleen F. Kivi, 82, of Kenosha, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2016, at Brookside Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Ashland, WI, on May 12, 1934, the daughter of the late Brian and Ethel (Meredith) Callahan. On October 10, 1959, she married George Howard Schroeder at St. Thomas Catholic Church. Kathleen enjoyed fishing up north, playing Bingo and video poker. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Surviving Kathleen are her children, Mark Schroeder of Kenosha, Marla (Joe) Panek of Bristol, WI, Michael Schroeder of Zion, IL, Molly (Jeff Chizek) Applegate of Racine, WI, Matthew (Kay) Schroeder of Seabrook, TX, and Mary (George) Wronowski of Orr, MN; eight grandchildren, Jennifer, Alexandra, Matthew, Andrew, Hannah, Mitchell, Eden and Christian; two great-grandchildren, Mia and Leelah; two sisters, Mary (Duane) Viroglio of Kenosha and Patricia (George) Doerflinger of Kenosha; and a brother, John Callahan of Pleasant Prairie, WI. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Howard Schroeder; sister-in-law, Carol Callahan; and her brother, Mickey Callahan. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Brookside Care Center for the wonderful care given to our mother over the years. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 22nd, at the Proko Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 noon.
