Robert Paul Savaglio

Robert P. “Bobby” Savaglio, 76, of Kenosha, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2016, at ManorCare Health Services. Born in Kenosha on May 15, 1940, he was the son of the late Attilio “Art” and Jessie (Aiello) Savaglio. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, he was educated in local schools. Bobby served in the United States Army, entering the service on October 21, 1963, and was honorably discharged on October 13, 1965, and received the Good Conduct Medal. On September 27, 1969, he married Kathleen “Kathy” Sturm at St. George Catholic Church. Bobby’s first job was at Maxwell’s Camera Shop where his love of photography began. He was employed for over 34 years at American Motors Corporation until his retirement in 1988. Following retirement, he sold cars at Clausen Motors, Belle Dodge and Palmen Motors. He was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and the American Legion. He enjoyed computers, playing poker and cheering for the Green Bay Packers. Survivors include his wife, Kathy Savaglio of Kenosha; and his son, Dr. David Savaglio of Kenosha. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Dino Roberto Savaglio; a brother, Ben Savaglio; a sister, Dolores “Duds” Kiffel; and a brother-in-law, Tom Kiffel. Bobby’s family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff of Meadowmere, Hospice Alliance and ManorCare as well as Dr. Joe Garretto for all of the kind and compassionate care they gave him. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 25th, at Proko Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 7:00 p.m. Full military honors will be performed at the conclusion of the service on Friday.
