Early Grady Crane
Early G. Crane, 80, of Kenosha, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2016, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Hayti, MO, on July 9, 1936, he was the son of the late Carl and Arrie (Upton) Crane. He grew up working on his family farm until the age of 18; after that he joined the Navy where he was a Machinist Mate working on the Aircraft Carrier USS Yorktown for three and a half years. The last 6 months of his service he worked on the Seaplane Tender USS Norton Sound. He served from 1954 until 1958. On April 12, 1969, Early was united in marriage to Marilyn Jozwiak at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Their marriage was blessed with many years of love and happiness. He was employed at AMC/Chrysler for 30 years as a millwright and retired in 1989. He got his commercial pilot’s license in 1970 to fly small planes at his leisure. Early enjoyed going on family vacations, camping, tinkering with computers, and going hunting with his sons. Early is survived by his wife of 47 years, Marilyn; his children, Michele (fiancée Mark Grachen) Mogensen, Joe (Michelle) Crane and Steve (Gina) Crane; five grandchildren, Amanda, Ashley and Nicholas Mogensen, and Kayla and Jon Crane; a great-grandson, Ryley Schmitz; three sisters, Florence (Nell) Bernhardt, Ruby Furo and Barb Desotell; a brother, Harry (Dolly) Crane; and a son-in-law, Rick Mogensen. He is further survived by numerous much loved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Hoyt, Bobby, Floyd and Patsy; and a son in infancy, David.
