Jerry A. Christensen

Jerry A. Christensen, 59, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 27, 2016, at Hospice Alliance’s Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie. Born in Kenosha on October 13, 1957, he was the son of James and Jean Marie (Stull) Christensen. He graduated from Tremper High School. Jerry formerly was a Chief at Kenosha Regional Emergency Support Services and later owned his own limousine service in Illinois. Most recently, he had been employed by Crossmark and the Kenosha Kingfish. He was a volunteer for many years with the Kenosha Fire Department and enjoyed bowling, golfing, Badger Football, the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers. Jerry is survived by his four children, Jennifer (Anthony) Vara of Sturtevant, Andrew Popp of Kenosha, Jessica (Paul) Ruleford of Burlington and Nicole Christensen of Kenosha; nine grandchildren, Dominick, Kaleb, Nathan, Mark, Aubree, Abigale, Noah, Landon and Anthony; his mother, Jean Marie Christensen of Kenosha; and his sister, Janis Mackai of Cascade, WI. He was preceded in death by his father, James in 2012. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 3rd, at 1:00 p.m. at Proko Funeral Home. Interment will follow at St. James Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday at the funeral home from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service. I met Jerry when I started working for his neighbor Mary Perez. He was a very nice person and he will be missed. I sent my condolence and prayers to the family and especially his mom who is also a very nice person.
