Walter B. Kendall, 87, of Kenosha passed, away peacefully on Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at United Hospital System-St. Catherine’s Medical Center Campus in Pleasant Prairie. Born in Milwaukee, WI, on December 28, 1928, he was the son of the late Ernest and Naomi (Bennett) Kendall. Walter was a graduate of West Allis Central High School, Monmouth College and had also completed one year at Marquette Law School. Walter served in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1950 until 1952. On February 6, 1954, he was united in marriage to Corinne Brankow at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She preceded him in death on April 12, 2007. Walter was employed for 35 years by various insurance agencies in the area in claims and auditing until he retired in 1992. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church. Walter is survived by a daughter, Ann (Dennis) Collins; sisters-in-law, Betty Brankow and Lorraine Kendall; a brother-in-law, David Brankow and his family; and also many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Corinne; and a brother, Richard Kendall. Visitation for Walter will be held on Sunday, October 30th, at Proko Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. On Monday, October 31st, friends and relatives are asked to meet at St. James Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery.
