Mary J. Ruetz, 80, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 7, 2016, at her home in Kenosha with her family by her side. Born in Kenosha on January 14, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Richard C. and Frances R. (Micheln) Langer. She attended St. George School and graduated from St. Catherine’s High School in Racine in 1955. On October 13, 1973, she married Marlin L. Ruetz in Kenosha. She retired from A.R.A. Services in Kenosha on March 19, 1993. She also worked at Penney’s Catalog, Simmons Co, American Brass and Woolworths Dime Store in Kenosha. She belonged to Teamsters Local 43. She retired to Adams, WI, on April 14, 1993, and belonged to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Adams, WI. She was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and enjoyed traveling. Surviving are her husband, Marlin Ruetz of Kenosha; two daughters, Ramona (Joseph) Kocjan and Renee (Darryl) Pariseau, both of Kenosha; a son, Eugene R. Gallo of Kenosha; six step children, Deborah (Rick) Stettner of Kenosha, Susan Ruetz of Kenosha, David Ruetz of Florida, Leonard Ruetz of California, Michael (Lori) Ruetz of California, and Jeffery Ruetz of Oregon; a sister, Joan Bohn of Wisconsin; a sister-in-law, JoAnn Nemeth of Florida; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren with another on the way. She was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Boehme and her husband, Al; and a brother-in-law, Richard Bohn. The family would like to give special thanks to Mary’s caregivers, Olga, Peggy and Mary, as well as Dr. Mejalli and Dr. Heun for all of the kind and compassionate care they gave her.
