Barbara Ann Nimmer

Barbara Ann Nimmer, 78, of Port Charlotte, FL, and Kenosha, WI, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 7, 2016, at her home in Kenosha with her family by her side. Born in Fond du Lac, WI, on August 11, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Lorraine (Olson) Steinbarth. On July 21, 1956, she married Harold “Jim” Nimmer in Fond du Lac. She and her husband owned The Oaks, a campground in Clinton, WI, from 1987 until 1997. She enjoyed camping, traveling, boating going on cruises, and for the last twenty years wintering in Florida. In 2004, she moved to Kenosha from Franklin Park, IL. Survivors include her husband, Jim Nimmer; two sons, Jeffrey (Anna) Nimmer and Scott (Marlene) Nimmer; three sisters, Bonnie Goodwin, Arlene Kolacki and Elaine Schroeder; five grandchildren, Amanda (Marc) Savage, Cortney Nimmer, Jamie Nimmer, Krystle Nimmer and Stephanie Nimmer; and four great-grandchildren, Eleanor, Evelyn, Gabriella and James. She was preceded in death by a son, Mark Nimmer; and two brothers, Arthur Steinbarth and Bill Steinbarth. A memorial service for Barbara will be held at a later date. Sincere condolences to all family members and friends of Barbara Nimmer. I grew up with the Nimmers in the early 60s . Mark Nimmer was a very close friend . My parents George (Joe) and Carol had great relations with Barb and Jim . Barb lived a memorable life . She was a loving wife to Jimmy , and a great mom to her three boys ! Even though she left us early, she left behind a great family , Sons , daughter-in-law's , grandchildren and Great grandchildren . The circle of life . Always in our hearts . Barb was an amazing, thoughtful, caring and spunky woman. I consider myself lucky to have known her and Jim for as long as I have. Every memory of her will forever be a treasure in my heart and mind. I pray for the family and know that Mark greeted her with open arms. I love you guys.
