Paul Timothy Kuyawa Jr., 57, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 6, 2016, at his home. He was born in Kenosha on September 25, 1959 to the late Paul and Nancy (O’Connell) Kuyawa. He married Nancy Simonsen March 19, 1991, and was a loving, faithful husband for 25 years. Paul was a die-hard racing fan since he was a little boy. He wrote articles for several racing papers, magazines, and for the WLIP 1050 radio station “High Groove Racin’ Motorsports Show” that was held every Sunday evening. He enjoyed bringing his daughter Dana to the races with him, sometimes he couldn’t choose which one to go to. His favorite was the “Little 500” in Anderson, IN which he attended for the last 6 years. Paul also loved spending time making his grandchildren laugh and smile whenever he could. Paul is survived by his wife, Nancy Kuyawa; two daughters, Nicole Simonsen (Richard Bartholomew) and Dana Kuyawa; six grandchildren, Dawson, Tristen, Adryanna, Aubree, Payton, and Landon; brother, Mark (Judy) Kuyawa; special friend of 20 years who was like a brother, John Surges of Milwaukee; and many other friends and family members. Visitation will be held at Proko Funeral Home on Saturday, October 15th, from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 4:00 p.m. To best remember Paul, feel free to visit in your jeans and racing t-shirts. “There’s a racetrack in Heaven. You know they have one heck of a track. Rest in peace, God bless, and God Speed Daddy. We love and miss you always.”Proko Funeral Home & Crematory5111-60th StreetKenosha, WI 53144Phone: (262) 654-3533Visit and Sign Paul’s Online Memorial Book at:www.prokofuneralhome.com

It was a pleasure to know Paul. Even though it was for a short time, I will never forget his sense of humor, or his genuine concern for others. Rest in peace, my friend.
