Mary “May” A. Mills, age 92, of Pleasant Prairie, passed away on Sunday September 18, 2016 at her residence, surrounded by her family.May was born in Glasgow, Scotland on May 19, 1924, the daughter of the late Henry and Archina Merckx.In June 1945 she was united in marriage to William Mills in Glasgow Scotland, he preceded her in death in 1987.Surviving May are her children, Heather Ballard of Pleasant Prairie and Glenn Mills of Lomira, WI, three grandchildren; Blaine (Sue) Ballard of Kenosha, Ched (Toni) Ballard of Pleasant Prairie and Chandra (Sam) Henderson of Carlisle, Iowa, nine great grandchildren and one on the way. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William, two sisters and her son in-law Larry Ballard.A private funeral service was held in her name. Heather, It was such a pleasure getting to know you and your mother MARY. She was such a delight to talk to while in the clinic and the way her eyes would light up when we talked about her home land of Scotland. I am so sorry for your loss, loosing our mother's is something so difficult though we always carry them in our hearts. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
