Russell L. Fenske Jr.
Butch was born on August 6, 1937, in the Village of Somers to the late Russell L. Fenske, Sr. and Gladys (Merville). He passed on Tuesday, September 6, 2016, leaving behind his wife, Carolyn (Loewen); two sons and their wives, Mike and Mary (Arbet) and Glenn and Jan (Swoboda); six grandchildren, Mitchell, Marcus, Lynden, Michael, Aaron and Madison; and one great-grandchild, Makenna. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews in the Kenosha and San Francisco areas. He was preceded in death by a sister, Barb Klapproth. He attended Sunday school and was confirmed with his best buddies including Wendell Rohdes at Somers Church. Butch was educated in local schools and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School. He served two years in the United States Army at Fort Riley, KS, and in Germany. He became a farmer and was a member of the Somers Volunteer Fire Department for 32 years. He was a fun grandfather and his grandchildren knew he loved them very much. He was always sure to have double stuffed Oreos and crackers with cheese waiting for them. He was always willing to help others and he will be missed by many. Farmers forever. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 10th, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church from 8:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
