James William Prevec, 73, of Gordonsville, TN, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2016. He was born on July 1, 1943, in Youngstown, OH, the son of the late Edward John Prevec and Caroline Lio. James served his country in the United States Navy, entering on June 1, 1964, and was honorably discharged on May 28, 1970. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. He married Donna May Burbey and she preceded him in death on August 26, 2001. James worked for Chrysler and American Motors, and later for Polaris Industries, Inc. in Osceola, WI. He loved woodworking, but especially loved his grandchildren. He is survived by three daughters, Theresa (Scott) Comer of McDonald, OH, Tamara Hoover of Las Vegas, NV, and Tara Prevec of South Carthage, TN; a son, James W. Prevec, II, of Milwaukee, WI; a sister, Janet (Lou) Santangelo of Niles, OH; and ten grandchildren, Breana Comer, Dana Comer, Ashley Hoover, Craig Hoover, Brody Hoover, Tyler Prevec, Blake Hines, Christopher Henson, Richard Harp, and Sabrana “Sabrina” Prevec.
