Marjorie D. Dorece, 90, of Kenosha, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at Willow Green Assisted Living Facility in Racine, WI. She was born in Chicago, IL, on August 19, 1925, the daughter of the late Willard and Margaret (Albin) Osborn. She was educated in and graduated from the schools of Chicago. She also attended college in Chicago. In 1948 she met and married the love of her life, Howard Gott, he preceded her in death on October 8, 1959. Marjorie was employed as an accountant with Tom Marshall Motors in Waukegan, IL, for many years before moving to Kenosha. She was also employed by with Hospice Alliance, Kenosha Hospital and in her later years she was employed as an administrative assistant at St. Therese Hospital in Waukegan, IL, where she retired in 2001. She enjoyed reading and using her new Kindle, playing games on her lap top, solving many crossword puzzles, cooking, trying new recipes and knitting. Surviving Marjorie is her daughter and son-in-law, Laurel and Gene Scales of Kenosha; a granddaughter, Melissa; and a sister-in-law, Sandy Osborn of Mcallen, TX. She is also survived by two nieces and two nephews and their children. She is preceded in death by her husband, Howard; and daughter, Marjorie “Tonii” Smith. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Willow Green Assisted Living and Heartland Hospice for the wonderful care given to Marjorie. A memorial gathering will be held at the Proko Funeral Home on Saturday, August 20th, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private.
