Dorothy “Jean” Marsden, 90, of Kenosha passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 30, 2016, at Parkside Manor. Born in Greenwood, WI, on March 20, 1926, she was the daughter of the late David and Marie (Lee) Reese. Jean graduated from Luther Hospital School of Nursing in Eau Claire, WI, during World War II. Jean married Claude F. Marsden on August 2, 1952 at St. James Rectory. He preceded her in death on February 8, 1999. Jean worked at the VA Hospital in Wood, WI, for three years, where she met Claude. Jean spent most of her career as an occupational health nurse at American Motors, retiring in 1982. She was also a member of the Army Nurse Corps Reserves for five years. Jean loved to cook, bake, sew, garden and travel with Claude. Survivors include her brother, John Reese of Sunbury, OH; two nieces, Jean Marsden of Kenosha and Barbara Reese of Madison; and two nephews, John (Renee) Marsden of Hales Corners, WI, and Peter Reese of Colorado. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Davis and Robert; and a sister, Marion. A special thank you to Parkside Manor Memory Care for their outstanding care, compassion and support which was so greatly appreciated. Thank you also to Aurora Medical Center, the many doctors, especially Dr. Rashid, and the entire staff for such wonderful care. Lastly, thank you to Compassus Hospice.
