Roger A. Moddes passed away from a 22-year battle with HD on July 23, 2016. Thesupport of Hospice Alliance allowed Roger to remain at home with those he loved.Roger was born in Kenosha on April 25, 1954 to Steve and Rose (Mycon) Moddes. Heattended local grade schools. He earned his B.S. cum laude from UW Parkside and his Law Degree from Ohio Northern University in 1980. Roger practiced Law for 25 years. He was united in marriage with Jane C. Vranak on August 12, 1978.Roger’s journey, rather than his degrees, reflected the man he was. Roger knew being a lawyer gave him the ability to help those in need. This gave him deep satisfaction. His greatest accomplishments were his son and daughter. They gave his life purpose and meaning. He had a strong belief in God and often was in awe with nature and felt close to Him in those surroundings. Music brought pleasure and comfort throughout his life.Roger is survived by his wife Jane, son Nathaniel and daughter and son-in-law, Lauren and Nolan Hanson. He also is survived by a brother, Wayne (Debra) and sister-in-law Jacquie Vranak, along with 5 nephews. He will be sadly missed by Hunter, his brindle canine companion for 11 years.Roger is united in Heaven with his parents, in-laws Emil and Laverne Vranak, brother-in-law Ronald Vranak and sister-in-law Pamela Vranak.Funeral services will be private. Roger would love for you to remember him by taking a walk at Petrifying Springs Park and be in awe with the beauty there.Please honor Roger with a donation to Hospice Alliance.
