Condolences

Dr. Brad Smith February 25, 2016
I want to extend my most profound condolences to all of Dawn's family and friends; and in particular, to Dale and Teresa. Only those who have had cause to find themselves in your shoes can say, "I know how you feel". Yet anyone who has had the privilege of knowing your family even superficially can't escape sharing the pain and sense of loss that attends your daughter's passing. We all feel such pain now.My prayers go out to all of you.

Dale and Theresa, I wish I had some profound words that could bring you comfort right now. When Jenny texted me the news, I just could not believe it. It still does not seem real to me, and I just can't imagine what a nightmare it is for you. I hope your faith brings you comfort and that you know that friends and family are here for you. I will always remember Dawn as vivacious and full of life. My kids and I are all deeply saddened by her passing. I had planned to come to her visitation, but I have Parent-teacher conferences, so I have to work. Please know that I would be there if I could. You are in my prayers, I can't even begin to imagine the magnitude of your grief. My children have all asked me to tell you that they have fond memories of Dawn from their childhood times together.
