Margot J. Lori, 86, of Kenosha, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 15, 2016, at her home. Born in Chicago, IL, on June 21, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Delford and Mildred (Jenson) Walser. She was educated in the schools of Wilmette, IL. After graduating from New Trier High School, she went on to receive her degree in home economics and then her teaching degree in elementary education. She moved to Kenosha in 1952. On August 22, 1956, she married Elmer R. Lori. He preceded her in death on May 27, 1982. Margot was employed as an elementary school teacher, teaching kindergarten, first grade and second grade, first at Grewenow Elementary School and later at Bain Elementary School. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Kenosha Educators Association and National Educators Association. She enjoyed gardening, reading, sewing and cooking. She was also an avid Green Bay Packer fan and a Chicago Cubs fan. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Survivors include two sons, Joseph M. Lori and Richard P. (Deborah) Lori, both of Kenosha; two daughters, Mary J. (Steven) Marcinkus of Kenosha and Lee Anne (Kevin) Long of Tucson, AZ; a sister, Annette Kilver of Jacksonville, IL; eight grandchildren, Anna (Joe) Eisenbraun, Thomas Tatroe, Sarah (David) Kordecki, Nicole Lori, Michelle Lori, Melodie Lori, Laurel Marcinkus and Brock Long; and ten great-grandchildren. Mrs. Lori was my first grade teacher at Bain Elementary. I can still remember being in her classroom and her patience and kindness. I was very blessed to have her as a teacher. My sympathy to all her family.
