Joyce F. Richter, 82, of Kenosha, died Monday, December 14, 2015, at Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie. She was born on July 26, 1933, in Kenosha; the daughter of the late George and Helka (Hansen) Lemorand. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, she was educated in local schools. On December 2, 1950, she married William C. Richter, Jr., in Kenosha. He preceded her in death on June 27, 2013. Joyce devoted her life to raising her children and her grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, taking photos, cooking, baking, gardening, sewing, and painting crafts. She also enjoyed rides down by the lake, going out for ice cream and relaxing at the family cabin in the north woods. She is survived by her children, Robert L. (Melody) Richter of Kenosha, Robin L. (Robert) Welter of Salem, Scott J. Richter of Burlington and Brent W. Richter of Kenosha; ten grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by six sisters, Melba Lemorand, Dorothy Houston, Norma Hill, Betty Hartnell, Laura Kosloski and Meryle Eidsor. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 18th, at Proko Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Friday at Proko Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
