William R. Klopstein, Sr., 79, of Kenosha, passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2015, at his home. Born in Kenosha on October 16, 1936, he was the son of the late Arnold and Chrystal (Dahlke) Klopstein. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, he was educated in local schools. On November 2, 1957, he married Maureen Easton at First Presbyterian Church in Kenosha. William was employed with Outboard Marine Corporation for over 30 years, retiring in 2000. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, working on Sudoku puzzles and 5:00 a.m. breakfasts. Survivors include his wife, Maureen of Kenosha; four children, Tracy Backman of Neenah, WI, Nora (Richard) Judd of East Troy, WI, William Klopstein, Jr. of Kenosha and Suzanne Klopstein of Kenosha; a sister, Sally Krok of Kenosha; eight grandchildren, Nik, Doug, Sam, Jeffrey, Aaron, Alec, Paula and Derek; and three great-grandchildren, Hailey, Fiona and Emerson. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene and Donald. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 17th, at Proko Funeral Home from 12:00 noon until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
