Betty S. Covelli, 78, of Kenosha, passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2015, at St. Catherine’s Medical Center in Pleasant Prairie. She was born in Kenosha on October 1, 1937, the daughter of the late Sam F. and Mafalda (Cosentino) Conforti. Betty was a 1955 graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School. On June 28, 1958, she married Mario Covelli at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. Betty was employed at Grant Elementary School for over 30 years retiring in 2005. She enjoyed cooking, shopping and spending lots of time with her grandchildren. Surviving Betty is her husband, Mario; two children, Gina (Joe) Serzant of Kenosha and Joan (Mike) Korecz of Kenosha; and four grandchildren, Peter, Steven, Emily and Elena. She is also survived by other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Patricia Hellstern. Visitation will be held at the Proko Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 17th, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A prayer service will be held at the funeral Home on Wednesday, November 18th, at 9:15 a.m., followed by a procession to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church for 10:00 a.m. Mass.
