William Lee “Bill” Bougneit, 67, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 29, 2015, at his home. Born in Kenosha on July 9, 1948, he was the son of the late Clayton and Helen (Trotter) Bougneit. He was a lifelong resident of Kenosha and was educated in local schools, graduating from Tremper High School. Bill served in the United States Navy, entering the service on October 2, 1969, and was honorably discharged on June 14, 1973. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, and the Vietnam Service Medal with four bronze stars. He was employed as a machinist at American Motors/Chrysler Corp. until his retirement in 2001. Bill was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He loved taking trips to the casino but most of all, spending time with his family Surviving are his two children, Ann (Paul) Flannery of Kenosha and Kristen (Joel) Burg of Colgate, WI; his four granddaughters, Kaylan Flannery, Sydney Flannery, Madison Burg and Maya Burg; a brother, Mark A. (Jeannie) Bougneit of Sacramento, CA; two sisters, Kathleen M. Stanke of Kenosha and Lynn A. (Richard) Heried of Phoenix, AZ; and many nieces and nephews. Bill was a wonderful man - met him at the Bartley House a while back! When I think of Bill, I think of the many times over the years when I was going through difficult times, his thoughtfulness always cheered me up!

Bill was a wonderful guy, a generous person who would do anything for anybody. I consider myself lucky to have known him. He has left a wonderful legacy in his children and grandchildren. May he rest in peace.
