Marjorie R. Houch, 94, of Pleasant Prairie, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 14, 2015, at St. Joseph’s Home and Rehabilitation Center with her longtime friend, Cristy Thompson, at her side. Born in West Chicago, IL, on September 3, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Abner C. and Mary B. (Creager) Clark. On November 16, 1946, she married Melvin J. Houch. They moved to Kenosha in 1949. He preceded her in death on May 30, 1992. Marjorie was employed as a corporate secretary and was owner of Electrical Contractors Inc. for 20 years until her retirement. She also volunteered at United Hospital System. She is survived by her son, James (Anita) Houch of Kenosha; and daughter, Kristie Coryell-Corrao of Milwaukee. She is further survived by her companion, Raymond Krivisto; and her two close friends, Cristy Thompson and Kristine Oakes. Marjorie was preceded in death by her two brothers, Elmer and Don Clark; and two sisters, Dorothy Schuermann and Marian Luxem. Marjorie’s family would like to thank St. Joseph’s Home, Hospice Alliance and Dr. Jeffrey Trimark and his staff for all of the kind and compassionate care they gave her. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 19th, at Proko Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
