Patricia M. Martz, 93, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully at Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie on Saturday, September 12, 2015. Pat was born on May 9, 1922, in Minneapolis, MN, a daughter of the late Bill and Petra (Hagan) Emard. Pats mother died when she was 8 months old. She was raised by her aunt and uncle on their farm in Lanesboro, MN. She graduated from high school in Peterson, MN, and later from Minneapolis School of Business. In 1946 she married Robert N. Martz at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. He preceded her in death in 2011. Pat worked at the Federal Reserve Bank in Minneapolis and later worked for the Red Owl/Snyder Drug retiring after 18 years as a secretary. Pat and Bob moved to Kenosha in 1993. She enjoyed reading, ceramics, cards, crocheting, baking, playing golf and bowling. She loved having family over for dinner, birthday celebrations and holidays. Surviving Pat are her sons, John of Durango, CO, and Dave of Minneapolis, MN; daughter and son-in-law, Linda (Gary) Heyden of Kenosha; and her granddaughter, Sarah (Victor) Fricano of Rosemont, MN. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert; and son, Gregory Martz. The family would like to thank the staff at Celebre Place and all the staff and volunteers at Hospice House. “Your care and compassion will never be forgotten.” A memorial service will be held at the Proko Funeral Home on Sunday, September 20th, at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be held privately at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
