Arlene A. Gahart

Arlene A. Gahart, 87, of Kenosha, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2015, at Brookside Care Center. Born in Kenosha on October 11, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Bertha (Drissel) Heidersdorf. A lifelong resident of Kenosha County, she was educated in local schools. On December 2, 1950, she married Lloyd Gahart at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Paris, WI. Arlene was a lifelong member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Survivors include her husband, Lloyd of Kenosha; seven children, Gary (Christine) Gahart of Union Grove, Jeff (Linda) Gahart of Elkhorn, Lynn (Jim) Dix of Caledonia, Douglas (Margie) Gahart of Elkhorn, Christine (Mike) Madsen of Twin Lakes, Mark (Kathy) Gahart of Burlington and Roger (Brenda) Gahart of Paris; a brother, Sidney (Joan) Heidersdorf of Juneau, AK; two sisters, Jean Tenuta of Kenosha and Audrey Rust of Anchorage, AK; 17 grandchildren, Eric, Scott (Denise), Stacy, Ross (Mindy), Kevin (Kristen), Heath (Dina), Jeffrey (Taryn) Rebecca, Jacob, Anne, Ashley (Jason), Kyle (Laura), Paige, Garett (Nancy), Audrey, Wylie and Brooks; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Scholey; two grandchildren, Korina Lynn Dix and Billy Lloyd Dix; a brother, William Heidersdorf; and a sister, Vivian Wagner. The family would like to thank the staff of Brookside Care Center, Hospice Alliance and Bernadette and Gloria for all of the loving care they gave Arlene. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 23rd, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Paris, WI, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 12:00 noon.
