Glenn Ernst Kirchner, 90, of Bristol, died Thursday, July 02, 2015, at Harmony Living Center in Kenosha. Glenn was born June 8, 1925 in Kenosha to Ernst Kirchner and Martha (Hackbarth) Kirchner. He attended Woodworth Elementary School and Bradford High School. Glenn joined the Army in May of 1946 and served in the Engineer Corp. He married Dorothy Zirbel on September 20, 1947 in Bristol. They dairy farmed until the early 1970’s when he became a Rural Mail Carrier with the Bristol Post Office. Glenn is survived by his wife, Dorothy; four sisters, Doris Magwitz of Pleasant Prairie, Alice Bailey of Somers, Barbara (Roy) Pringle of Boulder, CO, and Mary (George) Klacan of Wayzata, MN; two brothers, Allan (Shirley) Kirchner of Bristol and Lester (Marie) Kirchner of Arkdale, WI; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard Kirchner; and an infant sister, Dorothy. Glenn’s family would like to thank the staff of Harmony Living Center, Pastor’s David Pagel and Kevin Hundley, and everyone else who has helped and cared for him over the years.
