Douglas Kent Rausch

Douglas K. Rausch, 65, of Kenosha, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2015, at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in Union Grove surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Kenosha on May 19, 1949, the son of the late Leo and Leona (Watkins) Rausch. He was with the first graduating class of Tremper High. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War on the USS Ranger Aircraft Carrier. On September 8, 1979, he married Rita Mirocko in Antioch, IL, and moved to Kenosha. Douglas was employed with Abbott Hospira as an Electronic Tech for 17 years and worked as a Disc Jockey occasionally. He was member of the Moose Lodge, an avid golfer and basketball coach. Doug was a huge Chicago Cubs and Wisconsin Badgers fan, he also loved the 50’s and 60’s music. Surviving Douglas is his wife Rita; two children, Amanda (Charles) Taylor of Kenosha and DJ “Douglas Jason” Rausch of Kenosha; sisters-in-law, Denise Rausch of Kenosha and Yvonne Mirocko of Genoa City; and two nieces, Kimberly Mirocko of Antioch, IL, and Rebecca Miller of Genoa City. He is further survived by other relatives and many good friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Gary Rausch; a brother at birth; and a sister, Donna in infancy. Visitation will be held for Douglas on Thursday, May 7th, at Journey Church, 10700-75th Street, Kenosha, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 noon.
