Stefanija Lukauskas, 90, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 20, 2015, at HCR ManorCare with her loving family by her side. Born in Lithuania on April 25, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Adolph and Sophia Zmataite. On December 31, 1948, she married Zenonas Lukauskas in Nottingham, England. They moved to Kenosha in 1952. Stefanija worked as a seamstress for many local women’s clothing stores. She loved gardening, sewing, animals and spending time with her friends. Stefanija is survived by her husband, Zenonas of Kenosha; two children, Kristina (John) Murphy of East Troy, WI, and Arvid (Yumi) Lukauskas of Pleasantville, NY; and two grandchildren, Robert and Michael Lukauskas. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 22nd, at Proko Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at St. George Cemetery.
