Joseph A. Resudek

Joseph A. Resudek, 90, of Kenosha, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at the VA Home in Union Grove. Joe was born in Rib Lake, WI, on December 6, 1924, the son of the late John and Mary (Cizlek) Resudek. Following high school, he joined the U.S. Army until he was honorably discharged. Following the Army he moved to Chicago and ultimately to Kenosha where he purchased a tavern, “Our Kenosha Tap”, which he ran for over 40 years. He enjoyed the interaction with the patrons who frequented his bar and watching the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Cubs games. Surviving Joe are his daughter, Melissa (Thomas) Stein of Kenosha; his son, Brian (Tammy) Resudek of Milwaukee; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Rose Scourtes of Chicago, IL. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends he made over the years. He is preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters. Joe’s family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of 1 West at the Veterans Home for the outstanding care given to their father.
