Ruth L. Shipton, 92, of Pleasant Prairie, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at Hospice House surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Racine, MN, on August 24, 1922, the daughter of the late Elmer L. and Inez (Moe) Wilson. She was educated in Minnesota schools, coming to Kenosha in 1950 to make her home. On June 14, 1942, she married Wayne E. Shipton in Olympia, WA. Ruth was member of Bristol United Methodist Church, she enjoyed gardening, making crafts, going to the casino and especially spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband, Wayne E. Shipton of Pleasant Prairie; a daughter, Janet (Ulrich) Thrams of Augusta, WI; five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Judy R. Hartman in 1984; and six brothers and sisters.
