Terry Allen Tate, 62, of Beach Park, IL, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 16, 2015, at Vista Medical Center in Waukegan. Born in Belmont, MS, on August 31, 1952, he was the son of Claude and Gracie (McCarley) Tate. He was a lifelong resident of Beach Park, IL. Terry loved his dogs, enjoyed fixing things, watching movies and wrestling. He is survived by his mother, Gracie (J.C.) Bates of Hackleburg, AL; his life partner, Bonnie Gay of Beach Park, IL; four brothers, Bobby (Carol) Tate of Winthrop Harbor, IL, Danny (Debbie) Tate of Hot Springs, AR, Steve Tate of Virginia Beach, VA, and Mike Tate of Kenosha; and a sister, Patricia (Don) Davidson of Virginia Beach, VA. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Terry was preceded in death by his father, Claude; and two brothers, Ealton and Timothy. Funeral services will be held at Proko Funeral Home on Thursday, March 19th, at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
