Steven Troy Mueller

1966 ∼ 2015

Our beloved Steven, "Steve" Troy Mueller, 48, passed away suddenly of cardiac failure at his home on Tuesday, March 3, 2015. Born on Tuesday, June 21, 1966, in Sheboygan, WI, he was the first son of Jerome "Jerry" and Sandra "Sandee" Lee (Achsel) Mueller. Steve was a lifelong resident of Kenosha. Steve attended Bose, Bullen and Bradford. He left school and spent most of his working life in the family business, "Mueller's Tire & Auto Center". His love of cars and motorcycles developed and was nurtured with the help of his revered Father and Uncles. He became a gifted mechanic who was known for being fair and honest by his many loyal customers. He was proud of being voted second "Best Auto Care” mechanic in the "Best of Kenosha County" 2 years in a row. Steve was extremely proud of his 3 sons and daughter, and loved watching them grow up into remarkable adults. He was known for having his surroundings perfectly immaculate and could advise anyone on the best way to clean and organize their belongings. He had the remarkable ability to work on automobiles all day long and not get a drop of oil on his clothes. Steve's passion was the thrill of racing his cherished '08 Hayabusa, notoriously known as "Hulkabusa" at Great Lakes Dragaway. His focus and dedication made him a top notch racer with his fastest quarter mile time of 9.140 seconds. He continually educated himself through research and at Redline Cycles to improve his need for speed. Steve was greatly respected and much admired for his talent. Steve and Theresa spent their time together watching TV, riding motorcycles, going fishing and enjoying each other's company. He will be deeply missed by his children, Nicholas Troy Taylor of Kenosha, Brandon John Mueller of Hubertus, Brooke Ariel Mueller of Hubertus, and Troy Steven Mueller of Kenosha; his mother Sandee of Hudson, FL; his devoted girlfriend Theresa Goshaw of Kenosha; his siblings Brenda (Dave) Kollman of Burlington, Travis (Theresa Stritchko) Mueller of Racine, and Tonya (Michael) Curran of Kenosha; and seven nieces and nephews. He will also be greatly missed by his friends Neil Wishowski, Jeff Arneson, Tony Giorno and Arnie Arneson. He was further survived by his former wife, Candi (Harper) Aldrian. He was preceded in death by his father Jerry. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 10th, at Proko Funeral Home at 7:00 p.m. Interment will be private. Visitation will be held on Tuesday at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.Proko Funeral Home & Crematory5111-60th StreetKenosha, WI 53144Phone: (262) 654-3533Visit Steve’s Online Memorial Book at:www.prokofuneralhome.com

I've been friends with the Mueller family for 45 years. So sorry to see Steve go. He was a track star. It was always nice to see him at Red Line and Great Lakes Dragaway. When we talked in September Steve had great plans for this racing season. Goodbye Steve and say hi to Jerry in the hereafter.
