Paul Spallato, 84, of Kenosha, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2015, at his home. Born in Kenosha on December 8, 1930, he was the son of the late Frank P. and Mary (Kinlein) Spallato. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, he was educated in local schools. Paul served in the U.S. Navy. On January 8, 1966, he married Gladys Dorn in Waukegan. Paul was employed as a cement finisher for over 40 years, first at Holger Pahl and later retired from State Construction. After retirement, he worked part time in the maintenance department at Carthage College. Paul was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and the Coffee Gumbas who met for many years at Mac’s Canteen. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an avid Packer fan. Survivors include his wife, Gladys of Kenosha; two children, Al (Shelly) Spallato of McFarland, WI, and Lisa (Joe) Barsuli of Pleasant Prairie; a brother, James (Diane) Spallato of Kenosha; a sister, Cathy Kemen of Kenosha; and four grandchildren, Francesca Spallato, Nicholas Barsuli, Brandon Rusecki and Samantha Barsuli. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Rusecki; and three brothers, Joseph, Raymond and Richard. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 17th, at Proko Funeral Home from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Entombment will be at All Saints Mausoleum.
