Doris M. DeSimone, 88, of Kenosha, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2015, at United Hospital System-Kenosha Campus. Born in Chisholm, MN, on June 26, 1926, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Dilla) Ryback, Sr. She moved to Racine as a young child where she received her education. In 1946, she made Kenosha her home. On October 10, 1946, she married Albert M. DeSimone at St. Edward Catholic Church in Racine. He preceded her in death on December 24, 1998. Doris worked with her husband as accountant for their business, Sunnyside TV. She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church where she was a member of the Altar Sodality and worked at the annual church festivals. She was a caring woman, always ready to help others in need and raised her nieces and nephew, Linda, Gregory and Barbara Palmer, following the death of their mother. She also volunteered at many places including the Senior Center, the Shalom Center and the Salvation Army. Doris enjoyed gardening, traveling, her monthly club meetings with her friends of many years, and will be remembered for her excellent cooking, baking and hospitality. Survivors include her daughter, Jeanne (William) DeSimone Sieger of Franklin, WI; a sister, JoAnn (Dennis) Smith of Racine; and two grandchildren, Anton and Anja Sieger. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond, George and John Jr. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 24th, from the Proko Funeral Home at 9:30 a.m. Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 2224-45th Street, Kenosha, at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum.
