Harry L. Data, 97, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 26, 2014, at Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie, with his loving family by his side. Born in Chicago, IL, on December 8, 1917, he was the son of the late John and Angelina (Pillazzo) Data. He was a graduate of Calumet High School and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. Harry served in the United States Air Force from October 12, 1942, until his was honorably discharged on December 11, 1946. He earned two Bronze Stars, the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal and the Air Force Air Medal. On December 11, 1943, he married Edith R. Reinholdt. In 1966, they moved to Baltimore, before coming to Kenosha in 1969 to make their home. She preceded him in death on December 6, 2010. He was employed by MacWhyte Wire Rope Company as their Vice President of Manufacturing and Engineering until his retirement in 1989. Harry was a member of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, the Danish Brotherhood Golf League, Senior Citizens, MacWhyte Retirees, Sheridan Senior Bowling League, Senior Swimming Group and he enjoyed the Breakfast Club at Andy’s. He is survived by his two children, Dr. Richard E. Data of Franklin, NC, and Barbara A. Wolter of Madison, WI, and his nephew, Arthur (Linda) Data of Palos Park, IL. Harry was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and wife. The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to all of the nurses and entire staff of Hospice Alliance for their special care give to their father. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 3rd, at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the church from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the service.
