Rosalie Longo, 86, formerly of Kenosha, late of New Glarus, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 22, 2014, at her residence in New Glarus, WI, with her loving family by her side. Born on September 22, 1928, in Metlaoui, Tunisia, she was the daughter of the late Michele and Rosina (Montemurro) Grimaldi. On August 9, 1959, in Novara, Italy, she married Joseph Longo. They came to Kenosha in April of 1964 to make it their home. He preceded her in death on July 28, 2005. She and her husband owned and operated Joe’s & Rosalie’s Tailor Shop in Waukegan, IL. For a number of years Rosalie also worked for Jockey International. She was a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church. Rosalie is survived by her daughter, Anna (George) Longo of Lindenhurst, IL; her son, Stephen (Christy) Longo of New Glarus, WI; and her two grandchildren, MaKayla Kiersten and Lia Longo. She was preceded in death her parents, husband, two brothers, Carmelo Grimaldi, Vincent Grimaldi; and a sister, Assunta Locastro. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 26th, at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, 7117-14th Avenue, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery.
