Frances Lorraine Seroka, 93, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Friday, December, 19, 2014, at Brookdale Pleasant Prairie. Born in Kenosha on February 28, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Kramer) Bonofiglio. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, she was educated at Bain Elementary School, Washington Junior High School and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School in 1940. On September 7, 1946, she married John J. Seroka at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on May 10, 1988. Frances was employed as a secretary and assistant to Dr. W.C. Kleinpell for six years, part time at Jockey International for four years, and then for the Kenosha News for 23 years, retiring on her 62 birthday, February 28, 1983. She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Parish Alter Society, Kenosha Senior Citizens, Senior Citizens Council, St. Mary Friendly Center and the Friends of the Museum. She also volunteered at St. Catherine’s Hospital, the Soup Kitchen and the Library Safety Building. Survivors include her son, Gerald John (Linda) Seroka of Franklin, WI; a brother, Charles Bonofiglio of Kenosha; a sister, Marilyn Hlavata of Kenosha; and also several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence Bonofiglio and Louis Bonofiglio; and three sisters, Theresa Huff, Eleanor Pasquali and Margaret Chatilovicz. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 22nd, from Proko Funeral Home at 9:30 a.m. Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Casimir’s Cemetery.
