Ellen M. Earley, 99, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 14, 2014, at Ridgewood Care Center. Born in Carthage, IL, on October 25, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Dorothy (Ferris) Mack. She was educated in the schools of Carthage and received her degree in Library Science from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. On October 10, 1944, she married George E. Earley at St. John’s Evangelical Church in New York City. He preceded her in death on January 24, 2008. Ellen and her family moved to Kenosha in 1963 from Alton, IL, and she was employed as a librarian with the Kemper Hall School. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and enjoyed sewing, cooking and reading. Survivors include her daughter, Betsy (Evan Good) Wieczorek of Kenosha; five grandchildren, Allyson (Mike) Crass, Brent Wieczorek, Jennifer (Chad) Rognsvoog, Erica (Mike) Minniear and Ryan Wieczorek; and four great-grandchildren, Ayla and Ashton Moesch and Carter and Owen Rognsvoog. She was preceded in death by a brother, David Mack; and two sisters, Alice Rowe and Dottie Mack. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18th, at the Proko Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 19th, at Trinity Lutheran Church at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow at Green Ridge Cemetery.
