Martin Norbert Redlin
Martin Norbert Redlin, 70, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2014. He died of natural causes in his Kenosha home. Born on April 25, 1943, to Norbert and Virginia Redlin, he was a proud self-made man; a veteran, accomplished executive, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Most of all, Marty was a passionate genealogist and family historian, and long-time fan of photography, crosswords, tomato sandwiches, coupons and cheap shoes. Marty is survived by his wife of 46 years, Kathy (Bernacchi); his children Liza, Brian, and Christopher; daughter-in-law Tabatha; wonderful granddaughters Annalise, Amelia, Alana and Alysa; and his nieces Mimi May and Sara Weinfurter. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Susan Krutz. Visitation will be held at the Proko Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 17th, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friends and family are asked to meet at the funeral home on Thursday, December 18th, at 9:15 a.m. for prayers, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. James Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to either of two charities very close to Marty’s heart: The Shalom Center and The Salvation Army. Shalom Center donations can be made at the Shalom Food Pantry at 8043 Sheridan Road in Kenosha or at shalomcenter.org.
