Anne Kruchko

Anne Kruchko, 94, of Pleasant Prairie, passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2014, at Wynwood. She was born on June 5, 1920, in Hamtramck, MI, to the late Mary and Demetry Wasko. She was a graduate of Wayne State University and taught elementary education in Detroit, MI, Oak Creek, WI, and at Prairie Lane School in Pleasant Prairie from 1967 until 1982. She retired from teaching in 1982. On May 19, 1946, she married Michael Kruchko who preceded her in death. After her retirement she and her husband enjoyed extensive travel by motor home to numerous places like Alaska, Baja Mexico and Texas every winter. They also enjoyed traveling to the NE states just to view the fall colors. She enjoyed gardening, family and spending time at their vacation home in Vilas County, WI. She is survived by her two children, Marie (Robert) O’Brien of South Haven, MI, and Gregory (Pamela) Kruchko of Salem, WI; six grandchildren, Jason (Kari) Kruchko of Franklin, WI, Daniel (Jill) Kruchko of Twin Lakes, WI, Kathryn O’Brien of Chicago, IL, Maranda (Jeremy) Burk of Burlington, WI, Connor O’Brien of Anchorage, AK, and Aaron (Ashley) Kruchko of Pleasant Prairie, WI; three great-grandchildren, Marshall Kruchko and Brylee Kruchko, both of Twin Lakes, WI, and Tyler Sonneberg of Sharon, WI; and sister-in-laws, Irene Kruchko of Cass City, MI, and Katherine Sorenson of Waterford, MI. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, December 16th, at St. Therese Catholic Church, 2020-91st Street, Pleasant Prairie, at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum. Visitation will be held on Tuesday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass. To Anne's Children & Extended FamilyI was 2 years old when my Dad's Brother Mikemarried Anne. My 1st memories are of visiting at her parents' home in Detroit & then manyfine Sundays when they moved to Bloomfield Hills. My family missed everyone when they moved to Kenosha. Still, we were together when possible.Thank You for your friendship to our family.I know you enjoyed many special times with Anne.
