Joann Zanotti, 82, of Kenosha, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2014. Joann was born in Dayton, OH, on August 15, 1932, the daughter of the late Cecil and Evangeline (Stelzer) Baugh. She graduated from Immaculate Conception Cathedral High School in Denver, CO, in 1950 and her family moved to Kenosha in 1951. She married Robert John Anthony Zanotti on October 7, 1953, and they were married for 37 years until his death in 1991. She is survived by her eight children; Diana (Ron) Frei of Chattanooga, TN; Theresa (Ralph) Kamphuis of Kenosha, WI; Charles (Cynthia) Zanotti of Burlington, WI; Thomas (Cynthia) Zanotti of Fillmore, CA; William Zanotti of Racine, WI; Robert (Laurie) Zanotti of Hartland, WI; Patricia Macpherson of Kenosha, WI; David (Christine) Larson of Waukesha, WI; a brother, Dale Baugh; a sister, Louise Parcenka; 22 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son-in-law, Robert Macpherson. Joann and Bob raised their big family on the west side of Kenosha. She was a loving mother and talented homemaker. Joann was active with the Forest Park Elementary School PTA for many years. She effectively managed a very busy household while she also managed the family construction business. She loved to play bridge and bingo with friends. She later discovered casinos, video poker, and enjoyed many trips to Las Vegas. After raising her children, Joann became a case worker for Society’s Assets for over 15 years until her retirement in 1998. She said her proudest day was when her final child purchased their own home. She enjoyed retirement in the warmth of Florida until returning to Kenosha in 2010. She received outstanding care from her daughter Patty and the staff of Brookside Care Center in her final years. Diana, Theresa, Chuck, Tom, Bill, Patty & David, Louise & Dale.I am so sorry for your loss. I stopped and saw your mother in July. Your mother was such a dear friend. I enjoyed our friendship, we had a lot of good laughs, tears & enjoyed playing cards. I know she will be greatly missed. Love, Phyllis
