Ceil has always displayed her ability to grow professionally by being involved with her professional organizations, acting as President of the Kenosha District of Nurses Association. Ceil was the anesthetist for approximately 14,560 deliveries and had administered approximately 23,500 general surgical anesthetics. Ceil was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Janice (Jim) Sorensen, John (Betty) Regner, Mary (Steve) Finnegan, Robert (Pat) Regner, Richard (Sharon) Regner, Michael (Janet) Pobar, William Pocius, Cathy (Keith) Haapala; and numerous great nieces and nephews. Ceil was preceded in death by her sisters, Aletha, Marion, Caroline (Walter) Pocius, Janet (Edmund) Pobar, her brother, Leon (Helen) and nephew, Thomas (Shirley) Regner. The family would like to thank the staff at Brookside Care Center for their care and thoughtfulness during her trying times. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 6th, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. my sincere condolence to the family of Cecilia Regner. I was deeply saddened to learn of Cecilia passing, and wish I would have known earlier to have attended the funeral services. I am a neighbor of the opposite corner of the block. I worked a number of years at St Catherine's Hospital in the lab and totally respected Cecilia job function. I enjoyed speaking with Cecilia when her nephew would pick her up and stop to say a few words. She was a special great lady who will definitely be missed!
