Angela Venci, 99, of Kenosha, passed away with her daughter by her side, on Monday, December 1, 2014, at St. Joseph’s Home and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Palermo, Sicily, on September 9, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Pietro and Anna Torregrossa. On February 8, 1947, she married Battista Venci in Chicago, IL. He preceded her in death June 28, 2007. Angela worked as a seamstress and a lunch lady for KUSD, but her greatest joy was being at home raising her children. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Angela is survived by her four children, Robert W. (Alice Beth) Venci of Columbia, MO, Ronald A. (Barbara) Venci of Green Bay, WI, Raymond J. Venci of Davenport, IA, and Ramona M. (Mark) Young of Kenosha; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and her sister, Madeline Kahn of San Diego, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. The family would like to extend a special thank you to St. Joseph’s Home and Dr. Joe Garretto for all of the outstanding care Angela received. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 5th, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church at 9:30 a.m. Entombment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum.
