Dorothy J. Bucher, 92, of Kenosha, passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2014, at ManorCare. Born in Kenosha on June 5, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Amelia (Hanneman) Mathews. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, she was educated in local schools. Dorothy was employed as the head cook with Kenosha Memorial Hospital for several years until her retirement. She enjoyed reading, spending time wither family and worked hard her entire life. Survivors include her two children, Joan (Frank) Chianelli and Mark (Becky) Bucher, both of Kenosha; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, David Bucher; and ten brothers and sisters. The family of Dorothy would like to thank all the staff of ManorCare for 6 ½ years of outstanding care. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 4th, at Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
