John Leo Cyzak
John Leo Cyzak, 75, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 8, 2014, at Brookside Care Center. Born in Kenosha on April 5, 1939, he was the son of the late John and Valeria (Stiemetz) Cyzak. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, he was educated in local schools, attending St. Mary Grade School and graduating from St. Mary High School. On September 6, 1958, he married Clare Stec at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Kenosha. John was owner/partner of Dickow-Cyzak Tile Co. in Kenosha, retiring after 40 years. He was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church and was also active with the Kenosha YMCA serving as past President and on the Board of Directors. John enjoyed sailing and was Commodore of the Kenosha Yacht Club, served as a Boy Scout Leader and also qualified for a private pilot license. Survivors include his wife, Clare of Kenosha; two children, Michael John (Colleen) Cyzak of Kenosha and Susan Clare (Richard) Gulbransen of Appleton; four grandchildren, Jon and Daniel Gulbransen and David and Michael Jason (Katie) Cyzak; and a great-granddaughter, Elinor Rose Cyzak. John’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Brookside Care Center especially Erika, Debbie, Dr. Feldy and Dr. Holbrook for all of the kind and compassionate care they gave John.
