Janet Marie Tryban

Janet Marie Tryban, 81, of Kenosha, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2014, at United Hospital System-St. Catherine’s Medical Center Campus in Pleasant Prairie, WI. She left this world to continue the dance with the love of her life. She was born on September 28, 1932, in West Allis, WI, the daughter of the late Walter and Mary (Hampvsham) Schuette. On July 12, 1951, she married Gerald “Jerry” Tryban, Sr. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Kenosha. He preceded her in death on April 8, 2012. She was formerly employed by Great Lakes Naval Base as a Housing Manager. Janet loved cooking, fishing, playing cards, but most of all spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was also an avid Packer, Cub and NASCAR fan. Surviving are her five children, Jean (Timothy) Aker and Judy (Rick) Rubenzer, both of Pleasant Prairie, Jeff (Dianne) Tryban of Kenosha, Joanne (Ron) Widi of Green Bay, WI, and Jim Tryban of Trevor; a sister, Carol (Herb) Wildes of Florida; ten grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Gerald Tryban, Jr. in 2009. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 27th, at Proko Funeral Home at 4:30 p.m. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorials in Janet’s name to Safe Harbor would be appreciated by the family.
