Marion Elizabeth Runde, 103, of Kenosha, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, September 24, 2014, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 10, 1911, in Paris, WI, she was the daughter of the late Phillip and Isabelle (Spartz) Neu. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, she was educated in local schools. On July 11, 1936, she married George Runde at St. James Catholic Church in Kenosha. He preceded her in death on January 1, 1994. A member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Marion was an avid gardener; she also enjoyed knitting, crocheting and traveling. She is survived by her three children, William (Elizabeth) Runde of Pompano Beach, FL, Robert (Andrea) Runde of Bristol, WI, and Sister Carol Runde O.P. Racine Dominican of Kenosha; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Tim; four brothers, Alvin, Stanley, Phillip, and John Neu; and a sister, Isabelle Heckel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 27th, at Siena Center Chapel, 5635 Erie Street, Racine, WI, at 10:15 a.m. Visitation will be held on Saturday at Siena Center in Racine from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
