Rueben Gollnick, 90, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 21, 2014, at his home. Born in Tomah, WI, on March 2, 1924, he was the son of the late Charles and Margaret (Bartels) Gollnick. He was educated in the schools of Tomah and after high school served in the United States Army Air Corp. On May 28, 1948, he married Elaine Schmitz. She preceded him in death on October 16, 1996. Rueben was employed with American Motors Corporation until his retirement in 1986. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching the Green Bay Packers. His greatest enjoyment came from his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include a son, Michael (Karen Morrissey) Gollnick of Kenosha; a daughter, Lynn (Richard) Orth Varney of Schererville, IN; four grandchildren, Maggie Gollnick, Katie Werner, Chris Orth and Erin Orth; and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 25th, at St. Mary’s Lutheran Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
