Carol A. Amadio

Carol A. Amadio, 79, of Kenosha, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2014, at her residence at Home Inspired Senior Living in Somers surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Kenosha on January 1, 1935, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Evelyn (Huck) Kenney. Carol attended St. Thomas grade school and graduated from Kenosha High School. On January 17, 1953, she married Alfonso Amadio at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on July 13, 2004. Carol was employed by Sears and later for the Brown National Bank. She enjoyed reading, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church and the Catholic Ladies Auxiliary. Surviving Carol are her two sons, Anthony L. (Peggy) Amadio of Kenosha and Allan P. (Sandy) Amadio of Wheatland; a daughter, Linda (Jim) Ventura of Pleasant Prairie, WI; seven grandchildren, Rachel, Allan, Stacy, Anthony, Gianna, Jared and Abbie; and a great-grandchild, Liliana. She is further survived by five sisters and a brother. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Al, a brother and a sister. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Hospice Alliance and Home Inspired for the wonderful care given to our mother. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 11th, at St. Therese Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends are asked to meet at the church for the mass. Entombment will follow at All Saint Mausoleum.
