Manuel Pereida, 41, of Kenosha, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 16, 2014, as the result of an auto accident. Born in Los Angeles, CA, on February 17, 1973, he was the son of Manuel and Julia (Solis Marquez) Pereida. He moved to Chicago as a child and was educated in the local schools. In 1995 he made Kenosha his home. On August 9, 1990, he married Norma Villatoro in Chicago. Manuel was employed in construction in Chicago for several years. He enjoyed working on cars and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Norma Pereida of Kenosha; four children, Marilu (Abel) Pereida, Manuel (Gaby) Pereida, Emmanuel Pereida and Judy (Becky Rojas) Pereida, all of Kenosha; five grandchildren, Anthony, Jayden, Edwin, Jonathan and Adamary Pereida; his father, Manuel Pereida; and six brothers and sisters, Rosario, Juan, Jose, Mary Lou, Lorenzo and Pedro. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 21st, at Proko Funeral Home from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow at St. James Cemetery.
